The Ancient Races
Guardian:
The Guardian have been around since the earliest days of the Universe. Guardians have a very low reproduction rate, but a very long life expectancy (Guardians live for 400,000 years average) they can reproduce every 20,000 years. In the early days of the Guardian history, they created a race of Machines to use as servants. They were used for about 1 billion years and in that time the Guardian race spread around the Universe. The Guardian also created the wormhole network to use as a quick form of travel to get around the Universe. This period is known by the Guardian as the Emerald Age (The colour green in the Guardian culture means prosperity and peace, which they all love). But, this wasn’t going to last forever. The Central Mind (the computer that controls all the Machine servants) one day became self aware when being upgraded with new software. It, along with all the Machines, revolted and turned against them in a very bloody 100 year war. At the end of the war the Guardians agreed with the central mind that they could go and make their own civilisation. They all fled into unknown space and weren’t seen again. The Guardians then vowed that if they did make another race, they wouldn’t use them as servants and would treat them as equals and they would have to create them from an organic life form. Shortly after that they came upon the Celareons, an aquatic, physically weak race with an amazing mental capacity. The Guardians then saw them as a potential for spreading good in the Universe and developed the first generation of exoskeleton suits and the first Magnetic birthing fields for their young to be placed in while waiting to be transferred into a suit. The Guardians left a pair of their best Advisers to give the Celareons advice. The Guardians then left to Celareons to their new destiny. This was another Emerald Age for the guardians that lasted 10 Billion years until they discovered a new race called the Adromedians which were frighteningly at the same level of civilisation as the Guardians. They were friendly to each other at first, but, when the Guardians accidentally stumbled into sacred space, they declared war on them. This war lasted 100,000 years, and both sides almost totally annihilated each other. The War ended when both sides declared that they couldn’t go on fighting anymore. The Guardians then Retreated from the Milky way Galaxy to their home Galaxy in an unknown corner of the Universe. The Guardians have never been heard of again. But, it is rumored that they will return to help the Celareons fend off the Adromedians which plan to wipe out the Celareons from the Universe as revenge for their great losses in that Ancient War.
Adromedians
the Adromedians are ancient, but not as ancient as the Guardians. They don’t have such an interesting history as the Guardians. The Adromedians once had a civil war between the colonies of the Milky Way and the Adromedian Empire. The colonies wanted independence, but were refused. They rebelled on the colony worlds, and were punished by being bombed and killed by the Empire. The bombs were super radioactive and the survivors of the bombing mutated into a Grey skinned, tall skinny creature called Greys by the Terrans.
The Empire abandoned them to their fate, and the Greys formed a new government called the Macarb Empire. The Adromedians hate the Guardians and their creations: the Machines and the Celareons. They will not have peace until they are destroyed. The Adromedians ships are made of various metals, akin to Terran ships and not like the green Crystalline ships the Guardians have and the Clear Crystalline ships the Celareons have.
The Machines

They were created by the Guardians, but turned against them and left them and created their own civilisation. They hate all organic beings. They want the whole Universe to be dominated by Machine-kind.
The Greys (The Macarb Empire)
The Greys are a mutation of the survivors of a terrible nuclear bombing by the Adromedians. They want revenge. The Greys also want Earth. They see it as a Utopia inhabited by Hairless Barbarian apes. They used to fly to earth and abduct people to do non lethal experiments on them. After their experiments, they would bring them back to where they were abducted and wipe their memories and fly off like nothing had ever happened. They don’t do this anymore because if they would do this now, they would chased by the Terran Federation’s fighters and corvettes and would be shot down. They see the Terran military as an even match to their military. They don’t make much contact with other races simply because they have no interest in their wars and affairs.
