Shield Mechanics

Every ship in the game has some armor_type. It is either no armour, light, medium, or heavy.
Every weapon in the game is making FIXED damage against every armor_type.
So, every ship is making some FIXED damage against every other ship.

Base shield: 30%
Armour: Heavy
Damage against:
No armoured ships: +40%
Light armoured ships: +30%
Medium armoured ships: +20%
Heavy armoured ships: +10%
So, some ships do huge damage against no-armoured or light-armoured ships, but pathetic damage against heavy-armoured ships (Lancer, for example). And some ships do very little damage against light-armoured hips, but high damage against heavy-armoured ships (Missile Cruiser).
Shields are just reducing damage. Like if shield is 50%, it absorbs 50% damage so ship gets twice less damage than if there were not sield. And if shield is 75%, it absorbs 75% damage, so the ship gets 4 times less damage than without shields.
Every ship has some fixed base shield value. Monolith has 35% base shields, and Lancer has 0% shelds. Upgrades and admirals add shields.
